Amazed and excited

It's been a while since I've written in my blog. But today I have felt compelled to share the joy that is completely overwhelming. I really can't explain it; I'm so not the "overjoyed" type. But...

For those of you who saw my facebook post know what I'm talking about. The Representatives of the people of New York spoke for equality and today marks a huge milestone in my life and the struggles of the ones that came before me.

I think those who know me, NO,  I'm sure those who know me; know I'm not a activist. I live my life under the radar for the most part. I'm out and I'm proud. But that doesn't mean I have to throw it anyone's face. I've said it many times; I'm me, like it or leave it.

I married my partner on September 1, 2008 when, while briefly it was legal in California. Yesterdays vote in the most iconic state in the Union, just reaffirmed to me that my life is normal. We have the same problems, struggles and issues that any other "married" couple have.

I don't tell you how to live your life. I don't tell you what scripture you should abide by. That's all pointless. The decisions I make in my life aren't going to affect you and your belief of the after life. If you truly believe in the scripture then you must be able to point out your own sins that you commit and live in on a daily basis. No one is perfect. So, therefore it's just easier and I think God's way not to judge. I don't judge you. Please offer me the same courtesy.

You know it's always hard to deal with the rhetoric that comes after decisions like this. Because many people are still opposed. The Catholic Church (like they have room to talk) are opposed. Opposition is not always a bad thing. It's what this country was founded on. Opposition is what fuels the fire. The harder people push, the harder we are going to fight.

If you remember it wasn't too long ago in history that interracial marriage was illegal. Holy hell Jim, I haven't seen the fall of the world because of it. You know why? Because two people love each other and that's what matters. It's not my decision, it's not your decision, it's theirs. I can assure you this decision will not be the fall of the world.

I'm thankful for a loving husband and I'm truly blessed to have a loving and supportive family, who without, neither of us could have made this journey.  Peace and love to all. Hug, truly HUG the ones you love!

The Voice's Blake Shelton Apologizes for Violent Anti-Gay Tweet: "I Love Everybody"

The Voice's Blake Shelton Apologizes for Violent Anti-Gay Tweet: "I Love Everybody"

Read more: http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/marc_malkin/b240371_voices_blake_shelton_apologizes_violent.html#ixzz1LeLR6miJ

I don't even know where to begin here.

First, I guess I should say everyone is entitled to his/her opinions. God, knows I have mine and tend to voice them quite often. To some people's chagrin.

Secondly, as an openly gay man I can't, with all honesty say that I felt offended by his comments alone. Do I think he could have chose a better forum to say such words? Yes! Perhaps, with his buddies at the pool hall over a beer. Twitter, with thousands of people following and watching every move he makes was not the best choice. It's no great secret that he's a country and western singer, who by all stereotypes, is a redneck country boy. No malice meant there. I too am a redneck country boy who just happens to be gay, and I'm not alone. I'm not fond of stereotypes, but hey, they are what they are.

Thirdly, I can see and feel one's anxiety over such comments in the wake of all the gay bashing and related hate crimes that we have seen over the past several years. With young people killing themselves because of bully's etc. I feel it too. He's in a position that he should have chosen is words more carefully or at the least, said it to his buddies. He has a "following" and there are some people out there who can't think for themselves or only need the encouragement to beat a fag or anyone else for that matter, that my pounce on this. I hope not.

Fourthly. Let it be said, that no man or woman. regardless of sexual orientation has the right to touch anyone else, anywhere, other than themselves. This is part of the problem with society. Because I'm standing in front of a star doesn't give me the right to fondle all over them. There is nothing wrong with admiring from afar and feeling all giddy inside. People, don't throw your panties. Don't try to get a kiss, don't try to touch someones ass that doesn't want you touching it. It's simple. Have RESPECT. Something I feel my generation and those after have forgotten.

In conclusion. Do I think Blake Shelton is a bad person, NO. Do I think Blake Shelton made a horribly poor decision, YES.  Have I/We made poor decisions, yes; difference is, he's in the spotlight. I have seen is apologies and I accept them. Hopefully by all this some good will come. Only time will tell and until then, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Don't prove me wrong Blake.

Chelsea Clinton: Straight People Need to Fight for Gay Marriage

http://www.usmagazine.com/celebritynews/news/chelsea-and-mark-no-flash-201145

Can I get an Amen and 10 x's of Hallelujah!

It's nice to have witnessed a young girl; with the spotlight on her for many years, turn into a self thinking, smart and outspoken woman; not just for gay rights, but a broad spectrum of things.

If you remember correctly, it was her father,  President Bill Clinton, who on September 21, 1996 signed into law the Defense of Marriage Act, aka DOMA. The President has come "out" and said he regrets signing into law both DOMA and Don't ask don't tell. Here's a piece from from an Aug 2009 article.

"The reason I signed DOMA was—and I said when I signed it—that I thought the question of whether gays should marry should be left up to states and to religious organizations, and if any church or other religious body wanted to recognize gay marriage, they ought to," he said. "We were attempting at the time, in a very reactionary Congress, to head off an attempt to send a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage to the states. And if you look at the 11 referenda much later—in 2004, in the election—which the Republicans put on the ballot to try to get the base vote for President Bush up, I think it's obvious that something had to be done to try to keep the Republican Congress from presenting that. The president doesn't even get to veto that. The Congress can refer constitutional amendments to the states. I didn't like signing DOMA and I certainly didn't like the constraints that were put on benefits, and I've done everything I could—and I am proud to say that the State Department was the first federal department to restore benefits to gay partners in the Obama administration, and I think we are going forward in the right direction now for federal employees."

Vice Pres. Dick Cheney "Obama deserves credit"

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/dick-cheney-osama-bin-ladens-death-obama-deserves/story?id=13509547

I'm happy to see that the former VP gives credit where credit is due. I too give credit to President Bush for his effort as well. I know it was important to him. Regardless of the credit, it's been done.

The American people deserve the credit. We've waited 10 long years for this day to come. All of our lives have changed dramatically since 9/11 and with all of that have remained vigilant in or pursuit of justice.

Repulican Congressman makes sense! **does cartwheels** over a light bulb!

That's me doing cartwheels, not the Congressman...LOL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv59PJ30WeM

This has to be one of the best/funniest speaches I've seen in years. All over a light bulb. The Rep from Texas (my home state) brings up some great points here in a fun yet serious way.

If you've got a spare five minutes, this is a must see.

Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs

http://news.yahoo.com/s/dailycaller/20110426/pl_dailycaller/levijohnstontowritememoir_1

ROFLMAO!!

I'm not a huge fan of Levi Johnston or Sarah Palin and the circus she's created. With that being said, I don't care who wrote it; any book with this title is a must read for me!!

The boy's got to make a living....

Lindsay Lohan Calls Jail Sentence 'Shocking'

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20484797,00.html

No, no Lindsay. You've got it wrong. What is "Shocking" is it's taken you this long to get there.

"I'm not a kid anymore," she said. "I'm 24. I've made a lot of mistakes. I recognize that, but I'm in the clear now and I feel that as long as I stay focused, I will achieve what I want to achieve."

Yes, you have made a lot of mistakes and guess what when people make mistakes the have to sufer the consequences. I find it "Shocking" that you don't understand this concept.

BlahBlahBlah...why am I even wasting my time with this one? She is a waste of perfectly good air. Good bye and enjoy your stay.

Haley Barbour NOT Running for President, I'm so sad NOT!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/atlantic/20110425/pl_atlantic/haleybarbournotrunningpresident201237015_1

Thank you Jesus!

His radical ideas that blacks didn't have it bad in 1960's Mississippi; his reaction to the Gulf oil spill; his support of a Mississippi State license plate honoring the KluKluxKlan, was enough for me. This guy is even further right than anyone I can even think of right now. Ok, besides the Rev. Fred Phelps, but he's not even human so it doesn't count.

One down, how many more to go!?

Well today marks

the first day of my  blog! WootWoot. Hope you have ejoyed it as much as I have. I've had a fabulous time.  Marcus and I created a video that I hope to share (once I figure all this shit out) that we'd like to carry forward in a weekly segment. Get your minds out of that place. It's just two people sitting around talking who have different ideas, yet all in all we agree.

Good night, sweet dreams.

I promise

Not all my post will be political. However, that is a big part of my life. With that being said, I received an interesting email today. You know the kind you get about Obama not being a US citizen etc....this one particulary raised my eyebrow. It stated....
FORGET THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE HOW ABOUT ONE
PIECE OF EVIDENCE THAT THE IMPOSTER EVER EXISTED-mrm.

OK... this is past the 'birthers' questions.... this is just plain old
common sense, no political agendas for either side. Just common knowledge
that citizens of a country and especially American citizens who even know
that Andrew Jackson's wife smoked a corn cob pipe and was accused of
adultery or that Lincoln never went to school or Kennedy wore a back brace
or Truman played the piano.

Good grief... we are Americans! We are known for our humanitarian interests
and caring for our 'fellow man'. We care, but none of us know one single
humanizing fact about the history of our own president. Honestly, and this
is a personal thing...but it's niggled at me for ages that no one who ever
dated him ever showed up. The simple fact of his charisma that caused the
women to be drawn to him so obviously during his campaign, looks like some
lady would not have missed the opportunity.... We all know about JFK's
magnetism, McCain was no monk, Palin's courtship and even her athletic
prowess were probed... Biden's aneurisms are no secret. Look at Cheney and
Clinton.. we all know about their heart problems and certainly speaking of
the opposite sex- how could I have left out Wild Bill before or during the
White House? Nope... not one lady has stepped up and said, "He was soooo
shy..." or "What a great dancer!!" Now look at the rest of this... no
classmates, not even the recorder for the Columbia class notes ever heard of
him....

.... I just dunno about this fellow.

Who was the best man at his wedding? Start there. Then check groomsmen.

Then get the footage of the graduation ceremony. Has anyone talked to the
professors? It is odd that no one is bragging that they knew him or taught
him or lived with him.

When did he meet Michele and how? Are there photos there? Every president
gives to the public all their photos, etc. for their library, etc. What has
he released? And who in hell voted for him to be the most popular man in
2010?????

Does this make you wonder?
Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from President Obama's past saying
they knew him, attended school with him, was his friend, etc. ?? Not one
person has ever come forward from his past.

VERY, VERY STRANGE..
This should really be a cause for great concern. To those who voted for him,
you may have elected an unqualified, inexperienced shadow man. Did you see a
picture called The Manchurian Candidate?.....

Let's face it. As insignificant as we all are .. someone whom we went to
school with remembers our name or face ... someone remembers we were the
clown or the dork or the brain or the quiet one or the bully or something
about us.
George Stephanopoulos of ABC News said the same thing during the 2008
campaign. He questions why no one has acknowledged the president was in
their classroom or ate in the same cafeteria or made impromptu speeches on
campus.
Stephanopoulos also was a classmate of Obama at Columbia -- the class of
1984. He says he never had a single class with him.

While he is such a great orator, why doesn't anyone in Obama's college class
remember him? And, why won't he allow Columbia to release his records?

NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA

Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia
University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there,
but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who
also graduated in 1983.
In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that
knew him, and they all know me. I don't have a classmate who ever knew
Barack Obama at Columbia .. EVER!

Nobody recalls him. Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83
political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer
than that." Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him. At
the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the
speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago,
nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind
of the, as we say in New York, 'the macha' who knows everybody, has yet to
find a person, a human who ever met him."

Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama
consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia , provide
school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends
while at Columbia ..

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan
School , then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political
Science major in the same class in which Barack Hussein Obama states he was.

Some other interesting questions..

Why was Obama's law license inactivated in 2002?

Why was Michelle's law license inactivated by Court Order?

It is circulating that according to the U.S. Census, there is only one
Barack Obama but 27 Social Security numbers and over 80 aliases.
WHAT!! ??? The Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut
where he is never reported to have lived.

No wonder all his records are sealed!

Please continue sending this out to everyone.
Somewhere, someone had to know him in school...before he "reorganized"
Chicago & burst upon the scene at the 2004 Democratic Convention & made many
swoon with his charm, poise & speaking pizzazz.
ARE YOU SERIOULSY FUCKING KIDDING ME! OMG.....

Yes, the United States, who has the fucking IRS; who will track your ass down on a deserted island in the South fucking Pacific, let a non US resident become President. One who also has no degree from Columbia...what's next? John McCain's mother is Mary Todd Lincoln!? Talk about a conspiracy theory!

Please see..

My first bitch of the day. John McCain

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110422/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_libya_224

Is this guy really serious!? I mean, have I lost all senses and someone forgot to tell me? Does he forget that we armed the  people in Afganistan, in the 80's, to quell the Russian aggression? The same people we are now fighting and have been for 10 years. Yes sir, those are our weapons; that we supplied, that they are now using against us. What an idiot. Do we ever learn from our past mistakes? His quote, not mine..."I have met these brave fighters and they are not al-Qaida," he said. "To the contrary, they are Libyan patriots who want to liberate their nation".

If the past holds true; He'll be eating those words.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for political reform and Democracy. But, let's face it, not everyone wants Democracy. I'm tired of spending American tax payer money on spreading the wealth of Democracy around the world. Give me some Godamn Democracy, you hypocritical bastard.

With that being said, let's start with political reform here at home Mr. McCain.

I dunno why!?

I don't know why I started this blog. Okay, of course I do. This is my space. No, not the once "has been" of social networking. This is truely my space. I can say it like it is and don't give a damn if any one likes it or not. You have made an conscious effort to join. Therefore, it's up to you to leave if you don't like what I have to say. That being said, get ready to enjoy the ride of your life.
